The CID is a 501(c)3 charitable organization comprised of business and landowners, residents, and the general public both within and outside of Chinatown.  We work to improve conditions within the Chinatown historic area while also preserving the area's special cultural, ethnic, and historical character.  Donations are tax exempt to the fullest extent of the law.

Many of the members of the Chinatown Improvement District have generational ties to the area and have invested a significant amount of time and funds to improve the area.  From restoring and rehabilitating historic properties to opening new and creative businesses, CID members have continued to invest their energies in the district over time.  They have brought a wealth of talent to the organization and have a broad range of interests and experience in the following areas:  engineering, law, business, restauranteur, entrepreneur, travel industry, art, poetry, investor, policy, management, farming, design, and historic rehabilitation.

We partner and work with other non-profits organizations, businesses, the city, residents and the broader community to continue to effect positive change which will enhance the neighborhood, celebrate it's unique character and keep it thriving into the future.
